Vasantha Pravachanamrutam 2017

With an objective to promote and propagate the rich Indian culture and heritage, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra organised 'Ramayana Navaham' from 22ndApril to 30thApril, 2017 at Mahathi Auditorium, Tirupati.

The Speaker of the Nine-day spiritual discourse, Dr Medasani Mohan, is a versatile personality, author of nearly 120 books, orator par excellence with profound knowledge in upanishads and puranas. In his Welcome Address Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Tirupati Kendra, emphasised the importance of Ramayana in the social life a that the great epic guides the people in their personality development and hum relations.

The Guests of the Day, Dr Medasani Mohan; Dr D. Sambasiva Rao, IAS Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, & Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra and Shri N. Mukteswar Rao, I.A.S. (Retd). Secretary. Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Tirupati. were felicitated by Shri Anupama Nandaji, Founder Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati.

Dr Medasani Mohan during the 9-day discourse on Ramayana, elicited the qualities of Sri Rama as an exemplary King and role model for everyone to follow. During the discourse, the various personalities, in driving the society to a right path, were discussed in explicit manner, mesmerising the audience.

The Ramayana Navaham came to a close on 30thApril, 2017, Dr N. Satyanarana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra; Justice Challa Kodanda Ram, High Court Judge; Acharya Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Professor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati and Smt. M. Suguna, M.L.A., Tirupati Assembly Constituency, graced the Valedictory Function.

On this occasion, Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, expressed that India is a land of culture and values and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is continuously working towards the promotion of these values throughout the world by organising spiritual discourses every year.

On the occasion, the Guest of Honour Shri Rani Sadasiva Murthy, quotes that "The victory of Dharma over desires is Ramayana'. The day's Guest, Justice Challa Kodandaram felt happy to be in the midst of many scholars and praised Dr Medasani Mohan as a Valmiki of this era.

Dr Medasani Mohan was honoured by Justice Challa Kodandaram, Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju and other dignitaries on the stage. Shri P.V. Krishna Reddy, Executive Vice Vice-Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra De Aladi Mohan, Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra; and the Executive Committee Members of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati and the young and old of Temple Town graced the occasion.
